Vandana looked past the polish of an elite institution to find a brutal education in power, performance and belonging. Shakespeare gave the story its echo, but the boys gave it its wounds. At Yoodlee, we were brave to back an English-language Shakespearean film, and while it did not find a mass audience, it resonated deeply with those who knew the brutal politics of hostels.
